Metabase is an open-source business intelligence tool that connects to many popular databases. It allows you to ask questions about your data and presents answers in intuitive formats.

Technical Requirements:

Database knowledge

  1. Understanding of relational database concepts
  2. Familiarity with tables, rows, columns, primary keys

System Configuration

  1. Laptop with a modern browser
  2. Stable internet connection
  3. Docker installed (recommended for self-hosting)

Database access

  1. Read-level database permissions
  2. Connection string
  3. Authentication credentials
